Quality Assurance – Quality Technician-FMCG
£21k -23k (depeing on experience)
Hours Night shift – 6pm -6am Sunday , Monday and Tuesdays –
Launceston – Cornwall

To maintain and improve quality and standards from raw materials to finished goods. To check make up, baked weights and ensure adherence to customer specification/standards.
To perform glass and perspex audits and vigorously updating areas / equipment in order to minimise risk of contamination and ensure product safety. To ensure all raw materials and final products adhere to specification and to quarantine those that do not comply.
To collect samples and take swabs for laboratory testing in order to ensure product safety and maintain customer confidence. To diagnose faults from different areas to effect repair and draw information together in order to highlight quality standard issues.
To audit HACCP and traceability records to ensure compliance against standard and defend due diligence. To arrange taste panels appropriate to the number of unique products made in order to measure conformance to specification and positive release. To investigate the cause of customers’ complaints and ensure remedial action is taken
To check and calibrate all Quality Assurance equipment to ensure equipment is fit for purpose and legal compliance of product is met. To liase with product development to establish and ensure quality standards and critical control points are drawn up to specification. To conduct on line checks to be proactive on shop floor.To carry out GMP audits and to monitor corrective actions. To fulfil shifts job tasks and prioritise jobs for completion. To attend and contribute to weekly team meetings and monthly department meetings.
